The NSW Department of Education is partnering with La Trobe University to deliver the Nexus Program in NSW public schools. Under the program, participants will be supported to complete a Master of Teaching (Primary or Secondary), whilst gaining classroom experience through paid employment in a NSW public school.
Financial support
- $12,500 study allowance (subject to tax)
- Paid part-time employment whilst studying
Employment support
- Receive support in finding a position within a NSW public school upon successful completion of the program
Ongoing mentoring and support
Wrap-around support from university and school mentors
Access to Nexus peer network and two in-person intensives (travel cost covered by La Trobe University)
