About the teach.Rural Scholarship
If you are planning to complete, or are currently completing, an initial teacher education degree, apply for the teach.Rural Scholarship. Those studying to become a secondary teacher (across any key learning area) or an inclusive/special education (K - 12) teacher are encouraged to apply.
The teach.Rural Scholarship provides financial support of up to $7,500 per year whilst studying full-time (pro-rata for part-time study), equivalent course contribution fees of up to $50,000*, a $6,000 appointment allowance and a permanent position in a rural or remote NSW public school following successful completion of studies. Scholars may also be eligible for a $500 per week rural practicum allowance.
