Subjects Accredited to Teach
The Subjects Accredited to Teach report provides information on the number of teachers within a principal’s workforce who are accredited and/or willing to teach particular subjects. It enables the principal to see the overall distribution of their teaching workforce by subject. It is also possible to drill down and identify the teachers, by name and subjects.
For Executive Directors and Directors of public schools, the report provides the same facility but for all schools within their Principal Network.
How will this report benefit me?
This report will help Principals to plan their workforce, including but not limited to, deployment of a teacher in one faculty against a vacancy in another faculty, and matching current teachers to upcoming roles.
Schools could also use the network level data to connect with colleagues in other local schools.
What does the Subjects Accredited to Teach report provide?
This two page report provides the following information:
Page 1: Chart
Staff Count Eligible by Subject Name and Age Band
- This stacked bar chart displays a list of all subjects offered at the school with the number of teachers that are accredited to teach it. Each colour in the bar represents a different 10-year age band.
- Right click on the Subject Name bar to drill down to identify the teachers. Select ‘Drill down’ from the drop down menu.
- Use the Employment Type slicer to filter by employment type, for example permanent full-time or casual.
- Use the Willingness to Teach slicer to filter to staff who are willing to teach that subject only
- By default, the Accredited to Teach slicer is set to ‘Y’. You can also select ‘N’ to identify staff who are willing to teach a subject but are not accredited for that particular subject.

- The table displays the school name, subject name, employee name and age band.
- Use the Employment Type, Willingness to Teach and Accredited to Teach slicers to filter the information further.
