About this report
The Network Summary report provides key contextual statistics for a selected public preschool.

Who is this report designed for?
School principals and leadership teams can use this report to explore key contextual statistics for their preschool.
Directors, Educational Leadership and Executive Directors, School Performance can view all public preschools within their network and school performance directorate.
The Executive Director, Curriculum and Reform; Director, Curriculum Early Years and Primary Learners, and Early Learning team can view all preschools.
Benefits
The purpose of the Network Summary report is to allow users to view a snapshot of key contextual statistics and enable trend analysis.
The network summary report will assist leaders to:
- view enrolment data, including total enrolments and the number of children who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, have a language background other than English (LBOTE) or have a refugee background.
- identify if a preschool has a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) on the School Planning and Reporting Online (SPaRO) software platform
- view total visits completed by Early Learning (representing the approved provider of public preschools)
- view common notification types, complaints and monitoring and compliance visits completed by the NSW Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority.
Using the report
Use the slicers at the top of the report to select the results you want to be displayed.
Note: De-select every option from each slicer to view all data available for your preschool, preschools in your network and/or school performance directorate.
Select the vertical bar at the right side of the operational overview to reveal the data fields for each school, network and school performance directorate.
Selecting a specific year in the operational overview reveals key information about enrolment distribution as a bar graph in the chart below.
The Distribution of language background other than English (LBOTE), refugee and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as the total count of enrolments for each preschool is visually represented in a bar graph for each selected school.

The final chart in this report reveals the total count of common notifications, complaints, and monitoring and compliance visits. Use the slicers at the top of the report to see this data set as a rollup for the selected school performance directorate, principal network or single school for selected year/s.
By de-selecting all options from the slicers at the top, you will see each data set for regulatory authority engagement for all schools at your dashboard access level.

Your selections will be automatically applied to all sections of the report.
In this example, the user has selected x preschool for the year 2021. As a result, the bar graph and the notifications chart reveal corresponding 2021 data.
