Quality Time
The NSW Department of Education’s Quality Time Program met its target to reduce school administrative burden by 20% by the end of 2022.
The program aimed to simplify administrative practices in schools and improve support for teachers, principals and administrative staff.
Hours saved equated to 40 hours for teachers, 40 hours for support staff, and 190 hours for principals.
The program reduced administrative burden through a range of initiatives which included Curriculum Resources, Assessment and Reporting, Accreditation, School Administrative Processes, Student and Staff Support Services, Extracurricular Activities and Data Collection and Analysis.

The 20 percent reduction target was met by the end of 2022 and the program concluded.
