Be You educator wellbeing and crisis support workshops
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) services are invited to register to participate in an educator wellbeing and crisis support workshop series between August and October 2024.
29 July 2024
NSW Department of Education is offering the free workshops with partner, Be You.
Be You will support participating services to prepare for and respond to natural disasters, critical incidents and other events that result in community trauma, as well as their planning for promoting mental health and wellbeing in their learning communities to benefit children, families and educators.
Sessions available as a 3-part series include:
Leading through community trauma: Your role, your wellbeing, your community’s plan
This series will support leaders, educators and services to build capacity and skills to prepare for and respond to natural disasters, critical incidents and other events that result in community trauma while also supporting their wellbeing.
Beyond Self-Care: Leading a thriving workplace
This series will assist leaders and educators to expand their leadership focus across a whole service setting, considering all factors that contribute to wellbeing, and take practical steps to build a thriving workplace.
Up to 25 places are available in each workshop series, which is delivered over 3 sessions online.
Each session runs for 75 minutes and includes a 45 minute presentation and a 30 minute action planning workshop to support participants to leave with clear next steps.
You must attend all 3 sessions to complete the training for the workshop.
You can register now for sessions commencing in August. Up to 2 educators may participate from each service.
