In 2023 a record-breaking number of teams participated in the Game Changer Challenge. The competition was fierce with nearly 400 submissions received from public schools across NSW. Industry partner and department judges were very impressed with the depth of research, the amazing passion and the wild creativity teams showed as they responded to the wicked problem.

A total of 120 teams have progressed to the virtual semifinal events which took place in Week 6 and 7 of Term 3.
