JobFeed FAQs

JobFeed is published every Wednesday afternoon after 2 pm. In addition to the web page, it is distributed via email.

Temporary positions must be submitted via the Request to Advertise link. You will be presented with an online form – fill in your responses and click ‘submit’. Please ensure all form details are correct at the time of submission.

The deadline for submissions is Monday 3 pm on the week of publication. Submissions received before this time will be published on Wednesday of the same week. Submissions received after the deadline will appear the following week.

Temporary advertisements will appear in JobFeed for one week only. Candidates will be able to apply for your position until 3 pm the following Wednesday (unless a different date is specified in the EOI). If you need to advertise the position for longer than one week, you will need to submit the advertisement again.

Unfortunately, no. After 3 pm on a Monday afternoon, all submissions received are automatically placed in the queue for the following week’s edition of JobFeed. It is recommended that you submit advertisements in advance, as submissions are accepted at all times throughout the week (including weekends).

EOI documents are automatically generated from your JobFeed submission form responses, unfortunately custom documents cannot be attached. The JobFeed EOI conforms to a specific structure, including closing dates which are calculated according to the date of publication. That said, any information you may look to include can likely be captured through the JobFeed submission form.

If you believe your submission may contain errors, contact jobfeed@det.nsw.edu.au by 4 pm on the Tuesday before your advertisement is due to appear.

Changes to the website are not always automatically reflected on your browser. It can take a couple of minutes to half an hour before the changes are visible.

Allow some time and then try refreshing your web browser’s cache. If your job has still not appeared after this, contact jobfeed@det.nsw.edu.au.

If you are advertising a role in a rural or remote NSW public school, your school may be eligible to apply for a recruitment bonus. Visit our rural benefits and incentives page to find out more.

Alternatively, schools can request a spotlight article within JobFeed highlighting the benefits of the role, the school and the community.

Contact jobfeed@det.nsw.edu.au to find out more.

At present, we are unable to include SAS staff advertisements in JobFeed. SASS job vacancies are generally advertised through IworkforNSW. Visit the department’s Human Resources SASS Recruitment page (staff login required) for more information.

Additionally, you may also be able to advertise through Staff Noticeboard.
