The first issue includes a foreword from Leslie Loble, former Deputy Secretary Strategic Priorities and features contributions from:
- Irish author, academic and education consultant Mary Roche, on how picture books can be taught to help our youngest learners become critical thinkers.
- Rooty Hill High School teacher Yasodai Selvakumaran – a Global Teacher Prize finalist in 2019 and a DoE Teacher Ambassador – reflecting on how she helps students to develop their critical and creative thinking skills through her lessons.
- Ronald Beghetto from Arizona State University on the evidence for how creativity happens and when it should happen.
- Former Secretary Mark Scott on every student’s common entitlement to deep knowledge and crucial skills, and how this is key to achieving our vision to be one of the finest education systems in the world.
