About concession fees
The concession fee is a discounted, flat fee for the whole qualification. The concession fee varies up to $240, depending on the qualification level.
Please note: No concession fees apply to Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas. Student loans are available for higher-level courses.
Evidence of Commonwealth Government benefits
To be eligible for a concession fee, you must provide your training provider with evidence of your Commonwealth Government benefit or allowance (e.g. Age Pension, Carer Payment, JobSeeker payment, Veterans' Affairs pension, Parenting Payment (Single) or Youth Allowance.
The evidence can be in the form of a current Services Australia (Centrelink) Income Statement or a current Pensioner Concession Card. Dependants must provide evidence that Centrelink or another benefit provider accepts the child, spouse or partner as a dependant.
Please contact an approved Smart and Skilled training provider for more information, or refer to the Smart and Skilled Fee Administration Policy.
