Engaging with the Syllabus – Drama 7–10 (2003)
Teachers will become familiar with a variety of issues and focus areas relevant to the successful delivery of the 7–10 Drama Syllabus (2003) and its core components.
Teachers explore the syllabus objectives of making, performing and appreciating and engage with the syllabus to unpack the outcomes. Teachers will identify and reflect on the knowledge and skills required to plan for effective and engaging teaching and learning experiences. These sessions will introduce concepts that will be further explored by participants as they build on their knowledge of the syllabus and its mandatory requirements, developing meaningful strategies for effective planning and teaching in drama.
This is an online course.
This professional learning module allows participants to build their understanding and skills in unpacking the key features and components of the Stage 4 and 5 syllabus including the elements of drama, the components of making, performing and appreciating, the cross-curriculum content and key competencies. New, out-of-field or teachers returning to the subject after a break, will further develop understanding of the features and requirements of the syllabus and gain skills in developing teaching and learning programs for effective teaching.
