How can I use this report?
This report allows schools to analyse the new Year 7 cohort performance in each item of the previous Year 6 Check-in assessment by areas of learning, syllabus outcomes, and learning progressions. The report compares cohort scores against the State.
It will display students with ‘Enrolled (In Attendance)’ ERN registration status. For students whose status is ‘Applied to enrol’, please use the Interim Transition 6 to 7 Cohort report.
What should I look for?
The report provides cohort performance by individual items and includes item-level details. It allows you to get to know cohort strengths and areas for growth for new Year 7 students, as well as identify students who may need support in specific areas. The learning progression indicators can assist you in identifying skills the cohort was able to demonstrate during the assessment. Schools can use this report to compare students who have completed the assessments to state aggregate results.
Note:
For a list of students who did not complete the Term 3 Year 6 Check-in assessment, use the Students without Results table (details below).
