Carers Profile
The Carer Profile report provides demographic information on primary carers for students in a school. This includes all parents/carers listed as living in the same address as the student in the Application to enrol in a NSW Government school form.
Executive Directors and Directors of Public Schools can view all schools within their Principal Network.
How will this report benefit me?
The Carer Profile report allows schools to understand the demographic make-up of their school community, for example the main language other than English spoken by parents/carers. This will assist schools to effectively engage their school community.
What does the Carer Profile report provide?
This one page report presents multiple charts:
Language at Home
- The language spoken at home by parents/carers at the school.
Country of Birth
- The birth country of parents/carers at the school.
Occupation Group
- The parents/carers’ occupation group as defined by the ABS.
School Education
- The highest level of schooling completed by parents/carers.
Tertiary Education
- The post-school qualifications completed by parents/carers.

Schools can use this report to formulate strategies to engage appropriately with the school community and improve student wellbeing.
What should I look for?
Each chart in the report answers a different question about the demographic makeup of parents/carers in your school.
Where does this data come from?
The data for this report comes from the ERN system. Parents/carers provide this data when they fill in an application to enrol their child in a NSW Government school.
How frequently is data updated?
Annually
