Reconciliation in education

Narragunnawali supports schools and early learning services in Australia to develop environments that foster a higher level of knowledge and pride in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions.

Narragunnawali

Reconciliation Australia's Narragunnawali: Reconciliation in Education program has tools and resources for schools and early learning services. These support action towards reconciliation between non-First Nations Australians and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Schools and early childhood centres can be supported to engage in reconciliation and the development of their own RAP through the Narragunnawali online platform. Teachers and educators can also access professional learning and curriculum resources to support reconciliation actions.

Narragunnawali (pronounced narra-gunna-wally) is a word from the language of the Ngunnawal people, Traditional Owners of the land on which Reconciliation Australia’s Canberra office is located. Narragunnawali means alive, wellbeing, coming together and peace, and is used with the permission of United Ngunnawal Elders Council.
