The Preschool Attendance Boosting Project has been developed under the Australian Government’s Preschool Reform Agreement that runs from 2022-2025.
Overview
The Preschool Attendance Boosting Project will build the evidence base on preschool attendance boosting activities and comprises 2 key components;
- a research project that will result in actionable recommendations on effective strategies to improve attendance,
- a grants program for services to deliver evidence-based attendance boosting activities.

Preschool Attendance Boosting Project grant
The department is delivering the Preschool Attendance Boosting Project grant in 2025 to support participating ECEC services to deliver up to 2 attendance boosting activities.
Data will be collected from each activity to inform the research project.
