Preschool Attendance Boosting Project grant 

A one-off, targeted competitive grant, now open to select early childhood education and care (ECEC) services.

Overview

The Preschool Attendance Boosting Project is a one-off, targeted competitive grant to support up to 50 ECEC services in Campbelltown, Fairfield, Kempsey and Walgett Local Government Areas (LGAs).

Eligible services were invited to express their interest in the project following consultation.

Services selected to participate will:

  • deliver up to 2 attendance boosting activities that respond to the needs of their local community
  • partner with the University of Wollongong to collect and share activity data will inform recommendations
  • receive support from a practice partner to submit a grant application and collect activity data.

The Preschool Attendance Boosting Project aims to increase attendance of children currently enrolled at each service, and will focus on the following priority cohorts: 

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children 
  • children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds 
  • children experiencing disability 
  • children from low socio-economic status backgrounds.

Applications

Applications for Round 1 are now open for select eligible ECEC services who have been invited to apply. Each service will be supported by a practice partner to submit a grant funding application.
We encourage eligible services to:
