Work Studies and Work Education curriculum

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) has developed two courses to support students from years 7-12 to prepare and plan for post-school pathways.

The Work Studies (years 11 -12) syllabus is designed to assist students in their transition from school to work. It develops knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by students in the transition to work and the skills needed for effective career planning and performance of tasks in the work environment.

The Work Education (year 7-10) course enables students to prepare for the working world by developing an understanding of the roles of education, training and employment, and an appreciation of the role of lifelong learning in career development and managing transitions.
