Professional Experience (PEX) Hub Program

Goals of the PEX Hub program

A Professional Experience Hub is a centre of excellence for professional experience.

In collaboration with its university partner(s), a PEX Hub:

  • advocates for professional experience being a shared responsibility for preparing future teachers that benefits teachers, schools and the system as a whole
  • provides consistent high quality professional experiences for all preservice teachers, supervising teachers and initial teacher education providers in our sphere of influence
  • leads collaborative school-based evaluative practices to inform innovation in professional experience
  • shares knowledge and supports a network of schools to strengthen the quality of professional experience
  • focuses on strengthening and supporting subject matter expertise in the designated area of workforce need.

PEX Hubs for 2025-2027

The PEX Hub program operates in three-year cycles. Each cycle draws on schools and networks of schools across NSW to develop, share and scale effective practices in collaboration with their university partners.
