A successful professional experience placement depends a great deal on the level of dedicated support provided by the school’s professional experience coordinator and supervising teacher.
The professional experience coordinator is not just a liaison between a university and school. They develop school procedures and practices that support a high-quality placement for both supervising teachers and pre-service teachers.
The following strategies have been created through the Professional Experience Hub program. These strategies have been proven to improve the quality of professional experience placements for pre-service teachers. They are designed to be adapted at each school.
The Professional Experience Hub program has also developed a range of strategies for supervising teachers.
A suite of professional learning resources is currently under development.
These resources will contribute to the existing repertoire of strategies and enhance the capacity of professional experience coordinators in leading their schools' professional experience activities.
