Interview for Student Reasoning professional learning

Purpose

The Interview for Student Reasoning (IfSR) professional learning series has been developed to help teachers understand how to effectively implement IfSR to support numeracy improvement priorities and apply evidence-based practices in the teaching and assessment of numeracy.

The IfSR professional learning series consists of 4 modules.

Module 1: About the IfSR assessments

This online professional learning provides teachers with an understanding of the purpose and organisation of the IfSR assessments.

Kindergarten to Year 10 teachers

Completing this course will help you to understand the:

  • purpose and organisation of the IfSR assessments

  • alignment to the NSW Mathematics K-10 syllabus and National Numeracy Learning Progression (NNLP)

  • importance of student reasoning
